Your Recreational and Agricultural Land Specialist

Rob Jones
I have always had a passion for the outdoors and agriculture. This passion led me to start a vegetable farm and agritourism business upon my honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps. I purchased my first piece of property while still stationed at Marine Corps. Air Station New River in North Carolina. The only problem was, the land was in Mississippi. Navigating the complexities of purchasing land across the country was quite challenging; far more challenging than simply purchasing a house. This season in my life caused me to develop a passion for helping others through the process of buying and selling land. Not only am I experienced and knowledgeable in land ownership, I am dedicated to making your land transaction seamless.
My Story
Being born in the Mississippi Delta means that the great outdoors is in my blood. Some of my earliest and most fond memories are that of my dad, brother, and I hunting and fishing. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for experiencing first hand God's creation.

After taking a field trip to a local cotton gin in elementary school, I knew that I wanted to one day become a farmer. So, I made it my goal that one day I would own my own piece of property and farm. Little did I know that one day my dream would become a reality.
Upon graduating high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During my five years of active duty service, my wife and I purchased our first piece of property. We scrapped the little money that we had together and purchased 6 acres and a house in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This property was unique in that it boarded the New River. My wife and I spent countless hours hunting and fishing on that place. It was also here that I began to grow vegetables for market.

After my honorable discharge from the Marines, my wife and I decided to move back home to Mississippi. By God's grace, our dream of farming became a reality when we purchased a 30 acre vegetable farm in Water Valley, MS.

Not only did our farm grow, but so did our family. Jones Family Farms certainly lived up to it's name as the operation was an "all-hands" effort. As we look back on this time in our lives, we can see just how land ownership benefited our family in more ways than one!

Over the next several years, Jones Family Farms grew into one of the largest producers of mixed vegetables in the state of Mississippi. Over the course of owning this farming operation, I was exposed to many different facets of land ownership. This season of my life provided experience that is irreplaceable as I now help people find their dream property, or sell their property at a premium price to someone looking for that dream property.

However, while the business was thriving, my wife and I both felt God's call on our lives into the ministry. So, in 2022, with heavy hearts, we sold the farm and packed up and moved to seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I completed my master's degree.

Even though we feel called to the ministry, I certainly still have a passion for land and the enjoyment that it brings. That is why I decided to use the experiences that I have been blessed with to help others navigate the journey of land ownership.
